That Rotten Leprechaun...

Garrett's interest in Leprechauns was peaked last year when one of the little green guys ransacked his preschool...He is somewhat obsessed with catching a leprechaun. So, this year we made a trap....I am sorry to say that it didn't work. Those little devils are quick!

Here is what is looked like before the "attack." The Leprechaun experts suggested putting up a sign because Leprechauns hate following rules! We then baited the trap with gold chocolate coins...They are attracted to anything shiny!

The morning of March 17th started out as normal as any other day until we noticed that the toilet water had been colored GREEN! And, then, Mom noticed green all over Boomer...Footprints, perhaps? When Dad came home for lunch we discovered that a Leprechaun had peed all over his hand...No doubt revenge for saying that they don't exist. Upon returning home from meeting Garrett at the bus stop, we, again, saw signs of Leprechauns in the kitchen as ALL of the cupboards and drawers were opened! They are mischievous little dudes! And, finally, the trap that we set had been sabotaged! The little guy didn't fall for the chocolate bait, instead he ate it and spread gold dust all over the kitchen! He may have eluded us this year, but look out for March 2012!

We hope you all had a Rainbow-filled St Patrick's Day!!

Alyssa Lou

This is what it looks like when a 2-year-old finds her mommy's eye makeup...

What a girl!

One thing that I love about living in Portland is all of the great Rec Center activities for kids! Alyssa and I took a Mommy and Me dance class together. It was so much fun! And, it makes Alyssa feel like she is involved with something instead of just being hauled around to all of the activities for her brothers.

This class was a great way to introduce dance to these kids without them even knowing it! We used hula hoops, scarves, rainbow streamers, and bouncy balls (sized huge to ginormous)!

This was the favorite of all the little dancers...The magic carpet ride! All of the kids picked a mat and mom or dad pulled them all around the dance floor to the music from Alladin!

Here are the "Rainbows." Gotta shake out those sillies!
