Boy does time fly...

This is what we looked like when we left Portland...

This is what the sunset looked like from our Portland backyard...

And, here's one from Montana...

And, another...

We've invested in a Bug Zapper because we spend so much time outside...

Sometimes we felt like we were living in a bubble in Portland...
There are lots of rules and regulations and people telling you how to live...

In Montana we feel free...

Free to be...

Free to explore...

Free to discover...

We have been on many, many adventures living in Montana along with some firsts...

This was Leah's first time towing a travel trailer...

Garrett's first loose tooth...

And, his first visit from the Tooth Fairy...

Alyssa's first time mowing lawn...

Alyssa's first day of Joy School...

Boomer's First Birthday!

The kids insisted on having a birthday party for Boomer so we put a candle in his food. He was not impressed, but the kids thought it was fun!

LEGO Creations

We LOVE LEGO at the Golding house...The boys have come up with some pretty great designs. I am super excited about the new LEGO products just for girls!

This is the American Flag that Garrett designed...

And, this is the Fortress that Wyatt designed...

Day Camp

I was able to spend the day with Wyatt at his Cub Scout Day Camp. It was such a fun day! The camp itself was in a beautiful forested area with a maze of pathways. The Boy Scout volunteers made the ceremonies fun with their goofy skits and chants.

We participated in BB shooting and marbles, and the rest of the day was just a fun day with water play and lots of goodies to buy at the scout store. I love the scouting program.

Our big Montana news...

We were so excited when we received word that we would be moving to Montana...Well, mostly excited. I was pretty nervous about it...We had just not been enjoying living in Portland and I did not want to make another major move and end up hating where we ended up...So I asked Travis to take us to Montana so that we could check it out and get a feel for it... We loved everything about our trip and the people that we met and the places that we explored! We are so happy to be here and just need to find that perfect little house to settle in...That's the plan anyway!

We broke up the 12-hour drive with a few stops along the way...We stayed at a Wal-mart parking lot in honor of Nanny and Poppy! The second night we stayed in Missoula at JellyStone Park...We were all excited about that because we had just seen the Yogi Bear movie...It was a nice campground, but it was missing the Yoginess.
The kids were very excited to be out of the truck and to release their energy in the playground.

The stayed at the Lewis and Clark caverns for a couple of nights. It was nice, but there were so many mosquitoes. And, Wyatt learned the hard way the mosquitoes LOVE him!

We kind of got lost one night looking for a campground and ended up in our new favorite camping location...It was beautiful!

The kids each choose a little souvenir from the gift shop. This coonskin hat caught Garrett's eye. I think he wore it all week and many hundred times since!

We were having such a good time exploring until the rainclouds burst open on us! We had to hurry almost a mile back to our trailer! We were soaked. And, having no kettle or electricity to run the microwave, we had to use our skillet to make hot cocoa! It was a great night!

Wyatt choose this Montana pocketknife. The first of a growing collection.

Boomer played sooooo hard that I think he made himself sick. He didn't do much the next day!
