Turkey and Candied Sweet Potatoes...

So, this Thanksgiving was my first experience with cooking a turkey. I called my mom a lot! And, had the great support of Travis and the boys... I don't have a picture, but the bird turned out great! I can't say perfect because I think I left it in a little too long...the meat was delicious! We shared our day with some new friends in the ward and the full-time missionaries. It was such an enjoyable day. We also made Grandma Rue's Candied Sweet Potatoes...which I never knew how much I love candied sweet potatoes! We made homemade vanilla ice cream to top off Natalie's Pumpkin Pies! Oh my goodness! Just thinking about all of it makes my mouth water...
We played a fun, short game of Lego Scriptionary...I wanted something that the Elders could do with us. We thought of scripture stories and the boys each chose an Elder to be on their team and off they built...It was a cute game.
We have been so blessed this year and have seen the hand of the Lord in our lives countless times. We feel blessed to have 3 healthy, beautiful, active children; a terrific job; a full pantry; and amazing friends!
