So, here we are with an update starting on Christmas...
This Christmas was the most unorganized and undecorated for us...We were blessed to be able to move from our crappy-stinky rental to a clean rental so the christmas tree sat in the garage for most of the time. We left it up past New Year's this year.
We shared Christmas Eve with some friends and then started Christmas morning exchanging sibling gifts.
This picture not only shows the chaos that is Christmas presents, but all of the boxes that lined our walls...I think our official move-in date was Dec 15th...It was a crazy move for us!
This picture makes me laugh because of Garrett's look of absolute excitement while holding Alyssa's new Belle Barbie doll...I don't even know what made him so happy!
Boomer with his new santa toy...that is no more!
Hummmmm, What next???
One of Garrett's Christmas wishes granted!!!
Boomer sporting his new camo bandana...
Dad getting his butt kicked in Rock 'em Sock 'em
Anyone want a Silly Band???
Another of Garrett's Christmas wishes...
Wyatt's version of "You'll shoot your eye out!" This was his Christmas wish...a bow and arrow set.
What's Christmas without a little Nerf??
The Santa Hat. A very important accessory this season!
And, the much anticipated Kitchen set for Alyssa...
This was such a fun project--with only a few headaches--Travis and I learned all about hinges and order of application and how to use a jig saw (yes, he bought a new saw! We have a regular wood shop out there now).
Just as a reminder, here is the before picture...
I used a stainless steel bowl from Ross, wooden circles from JoAnn's, crystal drawer pulls from Lowes for the stove knobs, and my garage sale find-of-the-day bathroom faucet complete with crystal handles for just $1! I also used a piece of flannel and mod podged it on to look like a granite countertop. We couldn't be happier with the results!!
I really wanted this Kitchen to have a fridge so that all of the accessories could be easily stored. Alyssa wanted a blue kitchen, so I decided to paint the appliances to look like stainless steel.
I need to add pictures with the pot rack and curtains in place. Wyatt found a great picture that we printed out and framed to look like it has a window.
Alyssa loves it and that's all that matters!
