AC Gilbert's Discovery Village

If you are ever in Salem, OR here is great place to visit. There was so much to see and do that we didn't get to see it all. Good thing we have a membership so that we can go back when ever we want...

The Grocery Store...

To the Train, Erector Set, Dino Room...

The Rain Forest Theater Room...

The famous Bubble Room...

Finally, The Arts and Crafts Room...

From the Mouth of Babes...

After a nice bubbly bath Mom poured a cup of clean water over Alyssa to rinse off the bubbles to which Alyssa (2) said, "Stop, Mom. You'll get me all wet!"

Mom: (quizzing Wyatt on his spelling words) Cry. Don't cry, baby.
Alyssa (2): Okay, Mama.

Wyatt (9): (while reading over the menu at dinner) Oh, they have sundaes!
Garrett (5): What about Mondays?

Dad: (While trying to tell the kids something) Am I speaking German?
Garrett (5): A little bit.

2-year-old Alyssa, sitting on mom's lap waiting for Dora the Explorar to start, "Wake up! It's Dora!"

4-year-old Garrett's response to what LDS missionaries do, "They go to people's houses and eat. And, they watch their kids play."

8-year-old Wyatt, "Mom, I'm not a big fan of kissing. I am not looking forward to getting married."...We'll see how his mind changes in about 10 years!

4-year-old Garrett, "I don't want to eat free!"...Wyatt wanted to eat at a favorite pizza restaurant, so Travis told him that we should wait until Tuesday because 'kids eat free.'

7-year-old Wyatt- I was rather nervous with Travis driving down a nasty canyon on a dirt road. Travis told me, "Do you think I want to roll the truck down this?" Wyatt, "Yeah, you would get your truck dirty."

4-year-old Garrett, "There's a cow-horse! Look at the cow-horse."...Upon seeing a white horse with black spots...It looked just like a cow. Later that night Garrett was telling Dad about it, "It was a cow-horse. It was so'larious'!"

7-year-old Wyatt, "Look, Mom, I'm a man."...pointing to the hair on the back of his hand. BTW--Wyatt's first complete sentence was, "Dad belly hair." And, he is the kid who colored, with a marker, 'hair' on his feet so that he could be a hobbit!

3-year-old Garrett, "We got him at tooti-frootie.com."...telling Lis where his colorful stuffed puppy came from. This is his solution to everything. You can get OREOs at oreo.com, games to play during joy school at joyschool.com, and see dinosaurs at dinosaur.com.

3-year-old Garrett, "Then they will put the gold medal on me, huh, Mom?"...on the way to his first basketball Smart Start practice.
