Happy 3rd Birthday, Alyssa!

Alyssa turned 3 in June...Yes, that's just how behind I am...She is such a joy in our family. This year she wanted a castle cake. I had a blast designing and making this one...With each birthday I get a little more adventurous! We also had a very toddler birthday party. Alyssa invited 2 of her best friends, Rachel (who also had a pink castle cake) and Jacob. Then, she had a visit from her special friend Lanell. It was a great day for this little lady!

This is Alyssa with her party dress and pink bow just 2 of her many favorite things...Oh, and PINK frosting...She was just sampling the product to ensure safety! It was approved!

Here is the foundation...Strawberry "Pink" cake!

Add lots and lots of pink frosting, pink ice cream cones, and pink sparkling sugar crystals...I was going to use mini-marshmallows but they just didn't look right...

I found silver gumballs!!! Perfect!! I used chocolate wafer cookies for the windows and doors, and petite Cupcake Gems Pearls to accent the top of the cones...

Then, I made a little path and used green sugar crystals for the grass...I was very pleased with the finished project!

The extra batter became this deliciously pink cupcakes!

This is a picture taken by the birhday girl herself...Pretty good, huh?

Getting ready for the party!!

We had balloons everywhere...

The happy party crowd...

We played with Playdoh for most of the party...
More Playdoh...Then, we went on a bear hunt and sang some songs about bears.

Time for presents...

Not sure what that face means...

Alyssa wanted to watch Dora for her party!
So, after making our own puzzles we had snacks and Dora...

In the Dora zone...

It was fun to watch these little Dora robots...

Alyssa with her little Sleeping Beauty and jewelry from Lanell...

It's really strange to see her with that dang binkie...We don't miss it at all!

Love this one...minus the B, of course!

Silly girl!

Must have lost the smile with that binkie!

This video is turned sideways, but I love that little dance that Lissy does...
It's even better with her tutu!

One word: Brothers!!

More presents...

Blowing out the candle...

Happy Birthday, Alyssa!

From Mom and Dad...

Alyssa was helping with dinner when the doorbell rang...

It was Daddy and the boys with a Birthday Surprise...

Alyssa was so happy to receive her birthday flowers and balloons!

What a happy day for this little birthday girl!
We love you, Miss Lis!
