Every year the big event for Rock Creek Kindergarteners is the Egg Drop. Each child is challenged to come up with an original idea on how to protect an egg that will be thrown from the school roof. Garrett thought about it for a few days and came up with a plan to use cottonballs to cushion the egg. A few more days passed and he chose to put the egg and cottonballs in a 2-ltr soda bottle...But, how would he get it inside? He decided to cut the top off...Another issue arose, it would take a lot of cottonballs to fill in the space around the egg. He decided to use an old soup can, stuff it with the egg and cottonballs, tape the top with camo duct tape, put that whole unit in the soda bottle with even more cottonballs and finish it off with more camo duct tape.
It turned out to be a great idea!! The kids had a blast watching one of the teachers chuck their designs from the roof.
The egg survived!!!

One happy kindergartener!
